Document Status and Drafting Assumptions

This document governs user-facing AI-assisted features and establishes human-review, data-handling, and prohibited-use expectations. This draft assumes that The Tax Truths Technologies, Inc., a California entity, owns and operates both TheTaxTruth.com and YourTaxLine.com; offers subscription-based tax software, calculators, workflow tools, educational content, webinars, an LMS, document-upload functionality, and AI-assisted features; and may separately offer professional services under written agreements. The draft intentionally avoids promising specific technical controls or compliance certifications that must be verified operationally.Bracketed items are launch-blocking placeholders. Terms such as “Company,” “Services,” “Platform,” “User,” “Customer,” “Personal Information,” and “Professional Services” are used consistently throughout the package.

1. Purpose and Scope

This Disclosure explains the role, limits, and responsible use of artificial intelligence, machine learning, rules engines, automated classification, and generative features within the Services (“AI Features”). It supplements the Terms, Privacy Policy, and professional disclaimers.

2. How AI Features May Be Used

  • Summarizing user-provided information or documents.
  • Generating educational explanations, checklists, questions, drafts, and planning considerations.
  • Classifying transactions, documents, or workflow items.
  • Supporting search, customer service, fraud detection, data validation, and product analytics.
  • Producing scenario narratives based on user-selected assumptions.

3. No Professional Advice or Final Decision

AI outputs are probabilistic and may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, inconsistent, or outdated. They do not constitute tax, legal, accounting, investment, insurance, medical, or other professional advice. No output should be filed, submitted, implemented, communicated to a client, or used for a high-impact decision without competent human review and independent verification.

4. User Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete, and lawfully obtained inputs.
  • Avoid submitting information not needed for the task.
  • Review outputs for factual, mathematical, legal, and contextual accuracy.
  • Confirm citations, calculations, dates, thresholds, and authorities with primary sources and qualified professionals.
  • Disclose AI assistance where required by law, professional rules, contract, or organizational policy.
  • Do not use AI Features for fraud, unlawful discrimination, impersonation, evasion, deceptive content, or unauthorized professional practice.

5. Data Handling and Model Training

Inputs and outputs may be transmitted to contracted AI or cloud providers to deliver the requested feature. Provider access and retention should be governed by written agreements and configured to minimize use beyond service delivery. Unless expressly disclosed and accepted, Customer Content should not be used to train generally available models. Enterprise customers may request a data-processing addendum and additional configuration where offered.

6. Human Oversight and Quality Controls

The Company may use testing, evaluation, access controls, monitoring, content filters, red teaming, incident response, and human review to improve safety and quality. These controls reduce but do not eliminate risk. The Company may restrict prompts, outputs, or accounts that create legal, security, or safety concerns.

7. Bias, Fairness, and High-Impact Uses

AI Features are not designed to make employment, credit, housing, insurance eligibility, healthcare, education admission, legal, or similarly significant decisions. Users must not deploy outputs for such purposes unless a separate written agreement expressly authorizes the use and all legal requirements—including impact assessments, notice, explanation, appeal, and human review—are satisfied.

8. Intellectual Property and Confidentiality

AI outputs may resemble existing content, may not be unique, and may not qualify for intellectual-property protection. Users are responsible for clearance and appropriate attribution. Do not input privileged or confidential information unless authorized and the feature’s security and contractual terms are suitable.

9. Reporting Problems

Report unsafe, incorrect, infringing, biased, or suspicious outputs to the support contact method published in the Legal Center with enough detail to investigate, but do not resend unnecessary sensitive information.

10. Changes

AI technologies and regulations evolve quickly. We may update this Disclosure, feature labels, controls, and supported uses. Material changes will be communicated as required.
